How to do a Cable Squat ?
- Hold the cable handle in each hand. Stand away from the cable machine so that the slack is tight. Make sure your back is upright and your core is firm.
- Bend your knees and push your hips back as you keep your chest up. Stand back and lean forward with your elbows. Tighten the back muscles, and then return the handles to the starting position.
- When squatting the cable, start by standing with your feet straight forward and shoulder-width apart. Make sure you hold your ABS firmly and your shoulders back and forth (so do not shrug). Next, grab the cable handles and hold them to the sides of your body.
- Bend your knees and hips and slowly lower yourself as if sitting in a chair. Make sure your knees are aligned with your 2-3rd leg to reduce any pressure on the knee joint. Keep the arms straight, and then lift your glutes (butt muscles) up until your knees are fully extended. Repeat for the number of repetitions you have targeted throughout your workout.
